In regards to a poll conducted by analytics company Gallup, many interesting findings have shown up, highlighting the popularity of cryptocurrency in the country.
Gallup released results from a recent poll conducted about Bitcoin with investors from the United States. The results were quite surprising, showing that Bitcoin might eventually become mainstream. Gallup conducted a similar poll like this one back in 2018, so in comparison to the results produced now, there seems to be a very positive response from the Investors community.
It seems that many young aged investors from the United States have been actively taking part in trading Bitcoin around. Although they are still very inexperienced, they are learning about the trade every day. The results from the poll revealed that nearly 6% of investors in the US who are involved in investments of over $10,000, falling in the adult category, have said that they hold Bitcoin. Back in 2018, it was only 2% of the investors questioned. The best thing that was revealed was that the total percentage of investors, falling in the age category of 18 to 49, also having Bitcoin in their inventory had grown a nice 10% from before, reaching 13%, while only 3% of investors aged above 50 had Bitcoin, compared to the 1% from back in 2018. This shows how much the younger investors are interested in trading and owning Bitcoin.
Gold vs. Bitcoin
Now, looking at the results, we can see that Gold is the only asset that can be used to compete with Bitcoin. In comparison to other financial tools, 84% of the investors had stock funds up to their sleeves, while 67% owned raw stocks, and nearly 50% of them also had bonds stored. Bitcoin was owned by only 6%, which can be compared to Gold, which was owned by around 11% of the investors.
Another interesting thing that was revealed was that, just like the internet, women are taking their time to get into Bitcoin. Male investors were three times more active compared to females, with 11% of investors being male and 3% being female. It is also speculated that this percentage gap will soon decrease as more and more women get into investing.
All these signs show definitely indicate that Bitcoin might eventually become a mainstream tool for trading in the market as the percentage of investors gain.
